Honor 300 and 300 Pro introduced with bright cameras
Honor’s 300 series is official with the 300, 300 Pro and 300 Ultra, all with a focus on portrait cameras. All three smartphones feature 50MP main cameras and a second 50MP f/2.1 selfie camera. The Honor 300 Pro is based on a 6.78-inch OLED display with 2,700 x 1,224 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 4,000 nits.
On the back of the Honor 300 Pro are two 50-megapixel cameras – a 1/1.56-inch main camera and a 3x telephoto camera. Both are based on the Sony IMX856 sensor that is already in the Honor 200 Pro. The last camera on the back of the Pro model is a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera with autofocus. Power comes from a 5,300mAh battery with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging.
Like the Ultra, the Honor 300 Pro has last year’s best chipset – the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. There’s also 12 or 16GB of RAM and 256 or 512GB of storage. The Honor 300 Pro runs MagicOS 9.0, based on Android 15, with a ton of AI smarts, especially for imaging. You can remove objects, cartoonize your image, enhance it by generating content, retouch faces, or edit them using AI prompts.
The Honor 300 has to make do with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip with 8, 12 or 16 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 GB of storage. The bright 50 MP main and selfie cameras remain on board, as does the 12 MP ultra-wide-angle lens with autofocus. However, a zoom lens is missing. The battery is also the same 5,300 mAh and also charges via cable at 100 watts. Wireless charging is missing, however.
The Honor 300 is available for pre-order starting at 2,499 CNY (€326/$344). You can choose from five different colors – purple, black, blue, ash and white, and either 8/256 GB, 12/256 GB, 12/512 GB and 16/512 GB.
The Honor 300 Pro is available in black, blue or sand and with 12/256GB, 12/512GB or 16/512GB and starts at CNY 3,999 (€520/$550). Both phones come with the Honor Buds A, an Honor shopping bag, a thermos, a scarf and a koi-inspired bottle as free gifts.
