Samsung Galaxy A14 5G: Android 14 update with One UI 6 reaches Europe
The Samsung Galaxy A14 5G received the Android 14-based One UI 6 update in India last November and in the US a few days ago. Now the rollout of the update for the affordable Samsung cell phone has been expanded to Europe.
The One UI 6 update for the Samsung Galaxy A14 5G has firmware version A146PXXU5CWL7. The 1.7 GB download probably still contains the Android security patch from December 2023 instead of January 2024. Additionally, not all new Android 14 features are available. For example, the Auto Blocker is not yet on board.
If you live in Europe and have not yet received the One UI 6 update on your Samsung Galaxy A14 5G, you can search for it manually as usual. To do this, simply go to the Software Update item in the Settings menu and start the manual search.
OnePlus 12R: New images show Ace 3 design
The OnePlus Ace 3 celebrated its debut in China exactly a week ago as a cheaper alternative to the company’s current flagship, the OnePlus 12. Internationally, the Ace is set to come onto the market as the OnePlus 12R, which a new leak confirms again today. The premiere will take place at a major event on January 23rd, coinciding with the global launch of the OnePlus 12.
The leak also brings official-looking images of the OnePlus 12R. They look exactly like the OnePlus Ace 3 except for the black and blue color options. Earlier this week, the OnePlus 12R had already completed FCC certification, which also confirmed the design.
New Sony DualSense V2 controller with twice the battery life
A new Sony DualSense V2 controller for the PlayStation 5 has just surfaced at Canadian retailer Best Buy with product images and specs. And while the images don’t reveal any changes to the design, the specs show a massive improvement in battery life.
According to the listed specifications, the Sony DualSense V2 has a battery life of 12 hours. In comparison, the current generation only has a battery life of 5 hours. The remaining functions remain unchanged – integrated microphone, haptic triggers, headphone jack, touchpad, etc. The price of the controller is listed as 90 Canadian dollars, which is around 61 euros / 67 US dollars – the same as the current controller.
The leak looks a lot like Best Buy accidentally uploaded the listing. Therefore, we may have to wait a bit longer before we can actually purchase the updated controllers.
