Spotify Reserved offers advance concert tickets to its most loyal fans
Spotify has introduced a new feature in the US called “Spotify Reserved.” This means that Spotify reserves two concert tickets for an artist’s most loyal fans and gives them the opportunity to purchase these tickets before they go on general sale.
The company does not specify exactly how it selects ticket recipients, as it does not want to encourage strategic influence. However, it explained that eligibility is based on a variety of factors such as streaming numbers, saved content and shared videos, as well as location. The location factor is important because the tickets are intended to reach only fans who are likely to actually attend the event.

If you’re eligible for a particular artist, your Spotify Reserved tickets will appear on your Spotify home screen. You’ll also receive a notification and an email. To make sure you don’t miss anything, please enable notifications for live concerts and events, ensure your app is up to date, and that your location is saved in your live events feed.
You can also find the offer in the search results, on the artist’s page, in your live events feed, and in the “Now Playing” view. So it’s very unlikely you’ll miss it once it’s available. Once your reservation window opens, you can simply tap “Buy Now” to select up to two tickets for a reserved date on the tour.
Your booking window is typically about one day, and you can purchase the two tickets at any time within that day. However, to ensure you get your preferred date, location, and seats, it’s recommended to buy as early as possible. Once you’ve selected your tickets, you’ll be redirected to Ticketmaster to complete your purchase.
For this step, you may need to link your Spotify account to Ticketmaster. For some particularly popular shows, you may have to join a queue before reaching the ticket selection page. Regardless, two tickets for the tour will be reserved for you throughout your booking period. However, if you are at the end of the queue, you may not get the seats you want for that particular show. You will receive seats, but not necessarily the exact ones you requested.
With Spotify Reserved, you can purchase tickets for any date on the tour, not just the show near you. Reserved tickets include various seating categories and prices, and availability varies by show. Unclaimed reserved tickets are released to the next eligible fans. Spotify Reserved is available only for select artists and tours and exclusively to Spotify Premium subscribers aged 18 and over.
