Samsung Galaxy S26 series breaks pre-order record in South Korea
The Samsung Galaxy S26 series has set a new pre-order record in South Korea. Within seven days, from February 27th to March 5th, Samsung recorded 1.35 million pre-orders. For comparison, the Galaxy S25 series reached 1.3 million pre-orders in eleven days last year. This could be enough to finally surpass the record set by the Galaxy Note10 in 2019.
Samsung Galaxy S26 series with 1.35 million pre-orders
It should come as no surprise that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra was the most popular model, accounting for a whopping 70% of pre-orders. However, this figure is even higher than usual – while the Ultra often dominates, it’s usually not as dominant as this year. Last year, the share of the Galaxy S25 Ultra was “only” 52% of all pre-orders.
Most popular Galaxy S26 Ultra colors: Black and White
The tip contains no detailed information on how the remaining 30% are shared between the Samsung Galaxy S26 and the Galaxy S26+. Last year the ratio was relatively balanced (26% of buyers opted for the Galaxy S25, 22% for the Galaxy S25+), but this year both models found significantly fewer fans despite the overall higher interest in the S26 series.
Most popular Galaxy S26+ colors: Black and Cobalt Purple
The three S26 models are available in four basic colors as well as two exclusive colors via Samsung.com. However, buyers of the S26 Ultra predominantly preferred white and black.
Buyers of the S26+ were a bit more adventurous and predominantly chose cobalt purple and black. Perhaps this is why manufacturers don’t offer smartphones in eye-catching colors – people simply aren’t interested.
