Lenovo Y700: Gaming tablet with top chipset and 165 Hz display

Lenovo is expected to release the Gaming tablet Lenovo Y700 5th generation next month and has already teased the device on Weibo. Shortly afterward, the well-known Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station published further details.

The official posts on Weibo confirm an 8.8-inch display with a resolution of 3040 x 1904 pixels, a refresh rate of 165 Hz, a touch sampling rate of 2640 Hz for faster response times in games, a maximum brightness of 800 nits, and a color depth of 12 bits. It is likely the same display as last year’s model Lenovo Legion Y700.

The official teasers don’t mention the display technology of the Lenovo Y700. However, according to Digital Chat Station, it’s an LCD display. Furthermore, DCS lists a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and a 68-watt fast charging function in his technical specifications.
The base version offers 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, but variants with 16 GB/512 GB and even 24 GB/1 TB will also be available. The battery capacity is 9,000 mAh, a significant improvement over the previous model’s 7,600 mAh battery.
