Today at CES, Razer unveiled Project Motoko, an AI-powered headset with integrated cameras. According to the official press release, the Razer Project Motoko combines “Gaming, lifestyle and productivity on one intelligent platform.”

The Razer Project Motoko’s two first-person view cameras are positioned at eye level to essentially see what you see. This enables real-time object and text recognition – translating street signs, tracking repetitions at the gym, summarizing documents in an instant, and much more.

There are also two microphones, one for near and one for far, which work together to capture voice commands and record dialogue within the field of vision. The headset “interprets and reacts instantly and functions as AI assistant, which adapts to schedules, preferences and habits.”

The Razer Project Motoko connects “effortlessly” with Grok, ChatGPT and Gemini. However, Razer did not go into detail about the subsequent benefits of these connections.

As you may have already guessed, this is a concept that offers “a glimpse into the future of AI-driven wearables“, not a finished product.
