Samsung Galaxy Glasses with camera and Wi-Fi are coming in 2026
Samsung unveiled the Galaxy XR headset last month, and the next product in the series, as has been rumored for some time, will be a pair of glasses. The first Samsung Galaxy Glasses have now surfaced online with the model number SM-O200P. The “O” in this model number confirms that it is not another headset, as the Galaxy XR model number contains an “I” instead of an “O.”
The Samsung Galaxy Glasses could resemble the Meta Ray-Ban glasses. Previous rumors indicated that the Korean company would initially release a model without a display in 2026 and a model with a display in 2027.
Samsung Galaxy Glasses with Transitions Lenses
The Samsung Galaxy Glasses are rumored to feature Transitions lenses. This means they automatically darken in sunlight and become transparent again indoors. Transitions is a registered trademark of EssilorLuxottica, the manufacturer of Ray-Ban and many other brands. It will be interesting to see whether Samsung also uses these lenses, like Meta, or just photochromic lenses similar to Transitions.
Like Meta’s Ray-Ban glasses, the Samsung glasses will also have a camera, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. In addition, they will offer a mobile data connection, which the Meta glasses lack. Samsung has already registered the name “Galaxy Glasses,” so it’s very likely that’s what the glasses will be called.
The Galaxy Glasses will definitely be released in the US and, of course, in other markets as well, but there haven’t been any leaks about that yet.
