Huawei Mate 70 Air unveiled with 7-inch display and 6,500 mAh battery
The Huawei Mate 70 Air has been officially launched in China, joining the trend of slim and lightweight premium smartphones of the Air series. The smartphone features a large 7-inch display and a body that is only 6.6 mm thin. The AMOLED display supports a 120 Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2760 × 1320 pixels.
Despite its slim design of just 6.6 mm, the Huawei Mate 70 Air boasts a 6,500 mAh battery with 66-watt fast charging. It weighs 208 g and is water and dust resistant according to IP68/IP69. It offers two processor options, depending on the amount of RAM. The 12 GB RAM variant is powered by the Kirin 9020A chip, while the 16 GB RAM model uses a Kirin 9020B chipset.
On the back of the Mate 70 Air is a 50 MP main camera with a wide-angle lens, an f/1.8 aperture, and optical image stabilization (OIS). Additionally, the device features a 12 MP RYYB telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 1.5 MP color sensor. For selfies and video calls, the phone features a 10.7-megapixel front-facing camera.
The Huawei smartphone comes with HarmonyOS 5.1 and offers various AI features. Other specifications include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.2 with LE, Hi-Res Audio, Beidou satellite communication, NFC, and 5W wired reverse charging.

The Huawei Mate 70 Air is available in Gold Silver Brocade, White Feather Dress, and Obsidian Black. The smartphone can currently be purchased in China through the official Huawei online store.
The 12GB RAM/256GB storage variant costs 4,199 CNY (511 Euros/590 US Dollars), and the 12GB RAM/512GB storage variant costs 4,699 CNY (572 Euros/660 US Dollars). In addition, there are versions with 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, also for 4,699 CNY, and the top model with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage for 5,199 CNY (632 euros/730 US dollars).
