Apple Watch SE 3 with Always-On Display and Fast Charging is here

For the first time in three years, there’s a new affordable Apple Watch – the Apple Watch SE 3 is here. It features an S10 chip, an always-on display, a new Sleep Score feature, and supports the double-tap gesture. It also includes wrist temperature measurement for retrospective ovulation estimation, sleep apnea detection, fast-charging support, 5G support for cellular configurations, on-device Siri, and many other improvements.

Here’s how the new Sleep Score feature on the Apple Watch SE 3 works, according to the press release:
“Sleep quality is influenced by various factors, such as sleep duration, bedtime regularity, frequency of awakening, and the duration of each sleep stage. With the Sleep Score, the Apple Watch helps track each of these categories and provides users with transparent and easy-to-understand metrics for their overall sleep quality. After each night, the Sleep Score in the Apple Watch Sleep app provides an overall rating and classification, as well as a clear breakdown of key components, so users know what to focus on to improve their sleep.”

The Apple Watch SE 3 is available in Starlight and Midnight in 40 mm and 44 mm sizes. Pricing starts at €269/$249 in the US. Pre-orders are available starting today, and the launch will take place on Friday, September 19.
With watchOS 26, released on Monday, September 15, the Apple Watch SE will also support the new Workout Buddy feature powered by Apple Intelligence, just like the Apple Watch Ultra 3.
