Samsung currently has various pots on the stove. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is already listed with various official promotional materials, there’s a new commercial for the Galaxy Z Fold7, and the Korean company has unveiled a new, highly efficient cooling technology.
Samsung Galaxy S25 FE “officially” listed in Europe
The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE isn’t official yet, but new information and leaks have been leaking out practically daily in recent weeks. Today, a new retailer leak has surfaced, as MediaMarkt in Portugal apparently couldn’t wait any longer to add the Galaxy S25 FE to its range.
Unfortunately, the listing doesn’t include a Samsung Galaxy S25 FE price, but it does confirm the specifications of the upcoming Fan Edition. It features a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection. The device is powered by the in-house Exynos 2400 chipset along with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. However, more storage options should be available.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE features a 50 MP main camera with OIS, a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, an 8 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and OIS, a 12 MP selfie camera, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. It also features a slightly larger 4,900 mAh battery (plus 200 mAh) with support for 45W wired charging and 15W wireless charging.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE measures 161.3 x 76.6 x 7.4 mm and weighs 190 g. The new marketing images (first gallery) show it only in navy blue, but we’re sure Samsung has also prepared other colors (second gallery with renders). There are also a number of AI features, including Gemini Live.

Of course, you can still make such jokes right now, before the first Apple iPhone Fold is scheduled to hit the market next year. Rumor has it that it will have a foldable display manufactured by Samsung, which makes the whole story somewhat ironic. But until then, the Korean company can boast that the Galaxy Z Fold7 is foldable and the iPhone 16 Pro Max is not.
Samsung, by the way, has shown off the Galaxy Z Fold7’s Sketch-to-Image feature, which is part of the Galaxy AI suite, several times.
Samsung’s next-generation Peltier cooling technology wins award
Samsung’s next-generation Peltier cooling technology, developed jointly with the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, has been honored with the 2025 R&D 100 Award, apparently often referred to as the Nobel Prize of engineering and the Oscars of innovation. The award is presented by R&D World Magazine and annually recognizes the world’s 100 most innovative technologies.
Peltier cooling technology was first introduced earlier this year in a paper published in the scientific journal Nature Communications. Samsung engineers collaborated with Dr. Rama Venkatasubramanian’s thermoelectric research team, using nanotechnology to improve the efficiency and performance of a Peltier element. This uses a semiconductor material for cooling instead of traditional coolants, which can be harmful to the environment.
This research has improved the efficiency of Peltier elements by up to 75% while using only 0.1% more material than the previous generation. This should enable small, lightweight, and environmentally friendly cooling devices in the future.
In a likely not-too-near future, this could be used to cool cars, data centers, homes, offices, and more. Samsung first used a Peltier cooling device in its AI Hybrid Refrigerator, which was unveiled at IFA last year.
