Xiaomi Redmi 15 5G with 7,000 mAh battery, Redmi Note 15 Pro+ with SatCom
According to the first official teasers, the Xiaomi Redmi 15 5G will be the next model with a 7,000 mAh battery. The Redmi Note 15 Pro+, on the other hand, will get a truly premium feature, satellite connectivity, according to a new leak.
Xiaomi Redmi 15 5G: Specs, launch date, and design teased
According to an official teaser, the Xiaomi Redmi 15 5G will be unveiled in India on August 19th. The Chinese brand has not yet released the smartphone’s full specifications, but has confirmed the Redmi 15 5G’s key features and unveiled its design and color options.
Accordingly, the Xiaomi Redmi 15 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset from Qualcomm and runs directly with HyperOS 2. It features a 6.9-inch display with a fast refresh rate of 144 Hz and a very large 7,000 mAh Si/C battery.
The charging speed of the Xiaomi Redmi 15 5G, however, is not yet known. Xiaomi has only announced that the smartphone supports 18-watt wired reverse charging, making it suitable for use as a power bank. The manufacturer also announced that one of the two rear cameras will be a 50-MP main camera.
The Xiaomi Redmi 15 5G will be available in Midnight Black, Frosted White, and Sandy Purple. Unfortunately, the storage options are not yet known. Since the launch is only three weeks away, the next teaser shouldn’t be long in coming.
Redmi Note 15 Pro+ gets satellite connectivity
A few days ago, the first details about the upcoming Redmi Note 15 Pro+ leaked in China. Today, another feature came to light that was previously unexpected: The 15 Pro+ will apparently be the first Redmi phone with satellite connectivity. Actually, this function can only be found on premium devices.
This will definitely reduce the RedMi Note 15 Pro+ satellite confectionality in the price, since other manufacturers will add. Interestingly, Xiaomi has apparently decided against first equipping his high-end devices of the Redmi K series with satellite confectionality. On the other hand, the grade series is definitely the bestseller and the middle class segment.
However, there is a catch: This is only about the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ for the Chinese market. It remains to be seen whether the satellite connection function will also be available in the international model.
The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is said to be equipped with the Snapdragon 7S GEN 4-chipset, have a 1.5K display and offer thin, symmetrical edges on all four sides. There is a 50-MP main camera, a 50 MP telephoto lens and a battery with a capacity between 7,000 and 7,999 mAh.
