Battery and camera details for the Galaxy S26 Ultra surfaced
The Samsung Galaxy S26 series is not expected to be released before 2026, but rumors about the product line have been circulating on the internet for some time. The latest discussions revolve around the battery capacity and the main camera of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra featured a 5,000 mAh battery. According to GalaxyClub and Ice Universe, this remains the same for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The latter claims that the battery capacity has remained the same, but the energy density has been increased, making the S26 Ultra’s 5,000 mAh battery smaller than the S25 Ultra’s. Ice Universe also states that the next Ultra might finally have faster charging, but unfortunately doesn’t provide any specific figures. The S25 Ultra charges with up to 45 watts.
Regarding the main camera of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, GalaxyClub claims that it will have a resolution of 200 MP, like the S25 Ultra. However, it is unclear whether the camera will receive a new sensor.
At least one telephoto camera on the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will remain the same.
One of the two telephoto cameras on the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to remain the same: the 50 MP zoom with a 5x periscope lens. Samsung already used the same model on the S25 Ultra and the S24 Ultra. Details on the second zoom camera, however, are not yet known. The same 10 MP 3x telephoto camera that Samsung has been using since the S21 Ultra, with minimal changes in focal length, is currently at work here.
Chinese competitors have upgraded some flagships, such as the Xiaomi 15 Ultra or the vivo X200 Ultra, to a zoom camera with a 200 MP sensor. However, Samsung has only updated one camera on the current Ultra model for years and hasn’t made any major leaps in the process. Therefore, an update from a 10 MP zoom camera to 200 MP is quite unlikely.
The Galaxy S26 series won’t be unveiled before January 2026. Therefore, there’s still plenty of time for more leaks and rumors.
