Samsung One UI 7 rollout for Galaxy S24 series is underway again UPDATE
Samsung today resumed the One UI 7.0 update based on Android 15 for the Galaxy S24 series. Samsung had paused the release a few days ago due to a critical bug in the original firmware and has now released a newer version that should fix the bug.
The update is already available in Samsung’s home country of South Korea and should soon be available in other markets. It can be identified by the build number S928NKSU4BYD9. Whether this update will also be available to those who updated their smartphones before the pause remains to be seen.
If you’re updating your Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, or S24 Ultra to One UI 7 for the first time, we recommend disabling the lock screen protection to avoid the bug in the original update. The new update is likely to be very stable, but it’s better to be safe than sorry.
Hopefully, Samsung can resume rolling out the update as promised and make it available on more devices before the end of the month. The new firmware should be available on the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6, in addition to the Galaxy S24 series, before May.
You’ll receive a notification as soon as One UI 7 is available for your smartphone. If you don’t want to wait, you can also manually check for the update at any time in your phone’s Settings menu under “Software Update.”
UPDATE One UI 7 Rollout
As with the Galaxy S24 series, the rollout of the stable One UI 7 update for Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip6, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition has been paused. The good news for owners of these foldables: The rollout is now back on schedule.
The stable update will be released in Korea with firmware versions F741NKSU2BYD9 for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6, F956NKSU2BYD9 for the Galaxy Z Fold6, and F958NKSU2BYD9 for the Z Fold Special Edition. If you live in Korea and the new firmware isn’t yet showing on your device, you can search for it manually as usual. To do so, simply go to the “Settings” menu and select “Software Update” and then start the manual search.
