The YouTube channel Front Page Tech shared the alleged new design of iOS 19 in a new video. At the end of the video, a new feature was also revealed that is reportedly planned for the Apple iPhone 17 Pro models later this year: dual video recording.

According to Front Page Tech host Jon Prosser, the Apple iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max will be able to record videos simultaneously using the front and rear cameras. This is a feature already available through select apps in the App Store, such as Snapchat, but now it would be available through the built-in Camera app. Samsung had already introduced a built-in dual video recording feature on the Galaxy S21 and newer models.

Dual video recording in the Camera app would be useful for content creators on platforms like YouTube and TikTok, as they can easily overlay a shot of their face over an outward-facing video, allowing viewers to see them speak and react.

More on this particular rumor can be found at the 9:13 mark of Front Page Tech’s video. Apple is expected to release all iPhone 17 models in September. It’s unclear why this seemingly basic feature supposedly requires an iPhone 17 Pro model.
