Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7: S Pen without Bluetooth?

The reason is said to be the design of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 - according to the tip, the next Fold will be the thinnest device in the series so far.

Back in 2021, Samsung launched stylus support for the Galaxy Z Fold3 via an optional S Pen. This has been the case with every Z Fold since then. However, a new rumor now suggests that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 may have to do without some features in terms of the S Pen’s functions.

The reason is said to be the design of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7. According to the tipster, the Korean company’s next foldable will surpass the thinnest device in the Fold series to date and also the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. The latter is 4.9 mm thin when unfolded and 10.6 mm thin when folded.

However, since technology has not developed at the same speed since last year, for example in terms of battery size, Samsung will have to remove certain functions to compensate for the space limitations in the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold7. Unfortunately, it is not mentioned exactly which function this could be.

If we actually see a downgrade in the S Pen functions of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7, it would unfortunately not be a big surprise. Samsung has just done exactly the same with the Galaxy S25 Ultra, whose S Pen also has to make do without Bluetooth. The S Pen for the Z Fold5 and Z Fold6 already lacked Bluetooth functionality, while the more expensive S Pen Pro continues to support the short-range connectivity standard.

The new rumor comes from a source in Samsung’s home country of South Korea, but there is still no confirmation from another report. Therefore, the information should be taken with a grain of salt for now.
