Following the new Legion Go S console, Lenovo also unveiled a gaming tablet today – the Lenovo Legion Tab (2025). The successor to the first Legion Tab increases performance, improves cooling and will be released later this month. The big upgrade is the switch to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which will bring a huge performance boost over the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 of the previous model.

For a price of $500 (€485) you get 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM (8,533 MHz) and 256 GB UFS 4.0 storage. Lenovo has also increased the size of the ColdFront vapor chamber by 14% to improve cooling. The 8.8-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels (16:10) now supports a refresh rate of 165 Hz instead of 144 Hz. It’s also gotten brighter, at 500 nits in normal mode and up to 900 nits in high brightness mode. In addition, the Lenovo Legion Tab (2025) covers 98% of the DCI-P3 color space and supports HDR10.

The new chipset also brings Wi-Fi 7 including the 6 GHz band and lower latency connections. The Bluetooth standard increases to 5.4. As before, the Lenovo Legion Tab (2025) has two USB-C ports – one on the bottom and one on the side – with pass-through charging. This extends the life of the 6,550 mAh battery and reduces heat buildup when you use an external power source. Note that only one port is wired for fast data (10 Gbps), the other sticks with USB 2.0.

The Lenovo Legion Tab (2025) comes with Android 14 and features Legion Space and Game Assistant. These features allow you to adjust performance and battery life and control various game-related features. Lenovo guarantees three OS updates.

The tablet has a metal body (available only in Eclipse Black) that weighs the same as the previous model at 350 g, but has gotten a bit thicker at 7.8 mm (up from 7.6 mm). For sound, there are a pair of 2712 superlinear speakers with Dolby Atmos support, as well as two microphones. There is a 13 MP camera and a 2 MP macro module on the back, and an 8 MP camera on the front.

The Lenovo Legion Tab (2025) will launch later this month, but is already listed on Lenovo’s US website.
