Xiaomi is starting the new year with a new smartphone, the Redmi Turbo 4, and the new Redmi Book 14 and Book 16 laptops. The Turbo 4 is the first phone with the recently announced MediaTek Dimensity 8400 chipset, which Xiaomi has adapted and now calls Dimensity 8400-Ultra. The 6,550 mAh silicon-carbon battery, on the other hand, comes from the Redmi K80 and also charges at a fast 90 watts via cable.

The Redmi Turbo 4 is based on a 6.77-inch LTPS OLED display with 1220p resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The panel has a peak brightness of 3,200 nits and is protected with Gorilla Glass 7i. There is a 20 MP front camera (OV20B) in the punch-hole cutout and an optical fingerprint scanner under the display. There is also a glass back with a two-tone finish and two camera sensors. The 50 MP main camera is equipped with a Sony LYT-600 sensor (1/1.95 inch) and OIS. The second camera has a resolution of 8 MP and covers the ultra-wide angle range.

The software side is covered by Xiaomi HyperOS 2, which is based on Android 15. The Turbo 4 is dust and waterproof according to IP66/68/69 and also has an infrared transmitter.

Redmi Turbo 4 prices

The Redmi Turbo 4 is available in black, white and sea blue. Prices for the 12/256 GB model start at 1,999 CNY (265 €/$273), while the top version with 16/512 GB is available for 2,499 CNY (332 €/$342). The device is already on sale in China through Xiaomi’s official channels.

The Redmi Turbo 4 is expected to hit the global market next week on January 9th as the Poco X7 Pro.
