Apple AirPods 4 introduced with better fit and USB-C
Apple today introduced the AirPods 4, which will be available in two models. There’s a base model for €149/$129 and a model with active noise cancellation for €199/$179. The new AirPods offer significantly improved sound quality with dynamic head tracking for a more immersive media experience. Both models feature the H2 chip and support features such as voice isolation and Siri interactions, which let you respond to Siri announcements by nodding or shaking your head.
For more control, the Apple AirPods 4 have a pressure sensor on the stem. This lets you play or pause media, as well as mute or end phone calls. The charging case is the smallest case of any AirPod model to date and charges via USB-C for a total battery life of up to 30 hours. In addition to charging via USB-C, you can also use an Apple Watch charger or a Qi-certified charger.
The second AirPods 4 model features active noise cancellation with improved microphones and advanced computational audio that helps reduce ambient noise. This model also features transparency mode, adaptive audio, and conversation detection.
According to Apple, both new AirPods 4 models are also the most comfortable AirPods ever thanks to a new design. The result is a shape that “naturally fits even more users around the world.” Both earphones can already be pre-ordered, and sales start on September 20.
