Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 and Galaxy A73 get Android 14

As of today, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+ and Tab S8 Ultra are receiving the latest One UI 6 update based on Android 14. In addition, users of the Galaxy A73 are also reporting the arrival of One UI 6.0 on their phones. Samsung has slowly picked up speed in the last few weeks when it comes to rolling out the latest Android version. It was the Galaxy Tab S9 series’ turn two days ago.

The stable Android 14 update for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+ and Tab S8 Ultra has so far appeared in various European countries. The update comes with firmware version X906BXXU5CWK7 for the Ultra. The base model gets X706BXXU5CWK7 and the Plus version gets the firmware version X806BXXU5CWK7. The update also brings the current security patch from November 2023.
As for the Samsung Galaxy A73, the new firmware contains exactly the same components. Android 14, One UI 6 and the November 2023 security patch are included in the approximately 3 GB update package. And here too, the rollout is currently only underway in Europe.
If you have a Samsung tablet from the Galaxy Tab S8 series or the Galaxy A73, live in Europe and have not yet seen an update notification, you can search for it manually as usual. To do this, simply go to the Software Update item in the settings and start the manual search. If the new firmware is already available, you can “Download and install” directly.
If you live outside of Europe and haven’t seen any new firmware yet, you probably need a little more patience. Samsung likes to roll out its updates gradually, so it may still take a few days.
