Fortnite Persona 5 Co-op starts Friday

As part of its current “Gaming Legends” season, Fortnite has integrated several characters from the gaming world into its battle royale mode. The collaboration with Persona 5 has been known for some time, but now finally has a release date. Joker and other characters from Persona 5 will be available starting Friday, September 25th.

The official teaser shows the silhouettes of the characters appearing as part of the Persona 5 collaboration. Players can look forward to seeing Joker, Ann Takamaki, and Morgana again in the Item Shop on September 25th.
Fortnite / Persona 5 co-op appears in game files
One day before the official reveal, leakers scoured the game files and discovered some interesting information about the Persona 5 skins. Morgana will be offered as a companion, which isn’t surprising given his small size. As a skin, he would only make sense if he appeared in a mech suit, like Bart Simpson. Joker and Ann are each said to receive an alternate style.
It’s speculated that Ann’s style will resemble her outfit from Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight, while Joker’s might be similar to his Shujin Academy uniform. Joker’s set could include a transformation emote, allowing players to seamlessly change his outfit mid-match. It’s currently unclear how many additional in-game items, such as pickaxes, back bling, and music tracks, will be released as part of this collaboration.
It certainly appears to be a fairly extensive package, with at least two skins and a companion. We’ll find out more when the Persona 5 cosmetic items become available in-game on all Fortnite platforms on September 25th.
