Roblox introduces AI game development for iPhone and iPad
The online gaming platform Roblox has announced the introduction of a new Build tool that allows users to create games on iPhone and iPad using AI.
With the mobile build option, users can create a text template that is then transformed into a simple game by AI. A single template serves as a starting point, which can be expanded through playtesting and further commands. The entire development process, from creation to uploading to the platform, can be completed on a mobile device.
Roblox Studio is getting new AI tools
Currently, game development requires a Mac or PC app. However, with Build, game development will also be possible for mobile users. Furthermore, Roblox Studio, the desktop game development software, will be enhanced with new AI tools. Content created with the Build tool can then be further developed in Studio.
Roblox Build will launch on the mobile app on July 28th, initially with a public alpha test for users in New Zealand. Build will be rolled out to other regions in the coming months as the user experience is improved.
The popular app has 132 million daily active users. User-created games like Brookhaven RP, Adopt Me, and Dress to Impress enjoy enormous popularity.
