Microsoft has officially announced the rollout of Xbox Mode for Windows 11 in select markets. It will be available on desktop PCs, laptops and tablets It will be available and promises a console-like Xbox experience for more players than ever before.

The Xbox Mode makes it easier to get into your games with a controller-optimized, full-screen mode designed specifically for gaming. The clean and intuitive interface provides quick access to your library and recently played titles while minimizing background distractions.

This allows you to browse and launch games with your controller and access a consolidated game library that includes the entire Xbox Game Pass catalog as well as “installed games from leading PC stores”.

You can switch between Xbox Mode and the Windows 11 desktop at any time. Xbox mode was originally introduced for Windows handhelds and was known as a “full-screen experience.” According to Microsoft, player feedback on the original features “directly influenced Xbox Mode on Windows 11 PCs.”

To activate the mode on your Windows 11 PC, go to Settings > Windows Update and enable the option “Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available.” However, please note that this does not guarantee immediate availability of the feature for your device. Microsoft states that it will gradually expand the rollout over the next few weeks.
