CD Projekt Red and WeirdCo launched a Kickstarter fundraising campaign for the official Cyberpunk collectible card game at 12 pm EDT on Tuesday and exceeded their goal of $100,000 in just five minutes.

Within hours, the campaign was accompanied by an image proclaiming it the most successful collectible card game in Kickstarter history. As of now, the campaign has raised over $8.3 million from more than 10,000 backers, with 30 days remaining. Nearly all stretch goals have already been reached, and the final $10 million milestone could be reached within hours or even days.

“Hey guys, we did it,” the WeirdCo team wrote in an update on the campaign page after the project was fully funded.

Cyberpunk TCG breaks $5 million in three hours

As pledges skyrocketed, the team quickly set out to meet the new stretch goals. “You guys are crazy! We’ve already surpassed our $3 million stretch goal!” they wrote less than an hour after launch. “You’re exceeding these goals before we can even announce them.” The campaign reached over $5 million in less than three hours.

“The response has been simply overwhelming,” explained Elliot Cook, co-founder and president of WeirdCo. “To have become the largest collectible card game crowdfunding project in history in just twelve hours is a huge signal; our community is ready to create something truly special with WeirdCo.” Cook also described CD Projekt Red as a “dream partner” and noted that representatives from the company were in Seattle yesterday with the WeirdCo team to launch the campaign.

“Thanks to the overwhelming support from fans and local game stores alike, Cyberpunk TCG is not just being launched, but we are starting a game that truly creates human connections,” he said.

Most of the campaign’s stretch goals upgrade the game’s beta box. Early funding stages included additional booster packs and a promo “Legends” card featuring V: Corporate Exile. As funding increased, more variants and expanded card pools were introduced, incorporating characters from the video game Cyberpunk 2077 and the Netflix animated series. At $4 million, all booster packs were upgraded to guarantee two rare or higher-value cards. If—or more likely, once—the campaign reaches $10 million, every beta box will contain an additional Legends pack.

Backers will receive their rewards in two waves. The first wave, planned for the third quarter of 2026, includes starter decks, beta booster displays, and related add-ons via express shipping. The second wave, arriving in the fourth quarter of 2026 via standard shipping, will deliver the remaining products.

The Cyberpunk TCG, originally announced in December 2025, adapts the world of Cyberpunk 2077 into a competitive card game, focusing on building a crew, equipping them with gear, and completing missions.

There are 29 days left until the end of the campaign. Incidentally, the video game broke the 35 million mark at the end of last year and is also part of the Xbox Game Pass since this month.
