Lenovo Legion Go 2 to be unveiled at IFA Berlin
Lenovo presented a prototype of the successor to the Legion Go at CES earlier this year. According to a new rumor, the new handheld, likely called the Lenovo Legion Go 2, will make its official debut at the upcoming IFA in Berlin, which begins on September 5th.
Tipster Evan Blass has shared details about Lenovo’s announcements at IFA Berlin. According to the shared marketing materials, the second-generation Legion Go will be equipped with AMD’s Zen 5 and the Ryzen Z2 Extreme CPU based on the RDNA 3.5 architecture.
The AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme’s greatest strength lies in its improved graphics performance, powered by the Radeon 890M GPU. Lenovo’s new handheld device is therefore expected to offer improved graphics performance in games.
Lenovo Legion Go 2 with new coating
In terms of design, the handheld device will be largely similar to the original Legion Go. It will feature an 8.8-inch OLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate and a 1600p resolution. The handheld will also feature a new coating that is reportedly fingerprint-resistant.
The Lenovo Legion Go 2 will also feature a fingerprint reader and an improved button layout on the back. Similar to its predecessor, it will also feature detachable controllers.
The prototype Lenovo showed at CES featured a 74 Wh battery that supported 65-watt fast charging. It is said to offer up to 32 GB of RAM and 2 TB of storage. The Legion Go 2 is expected to launch with Windows 11 Home.
