Samsung demonstrates the gaming features of the Galaxy S25 Ultra
Samsung hosted a demo tournament between two major Call of Duty: Mobile teams to promote the gaming capabilities of its latest flagship, the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The phone features a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and a vapor chamber that enables seamless gameplay even in high-performance games like CoD.
The name of the tournament was “#PlayGalaxy Cup: The Greatest Rivalry with Call of Duty: Mobile” and it pitted two top teams from North America against each other – Tribe vs. Luminosity Gaming. Samsung’s press release states that the entire event, which took place on January 25, was streamed live on iFerg’s YouTube channel and garnered 3 million views. The venue welcomed 250 fans to “cheer on their favorite teams.” You can watch the footage above, which lasts over three hours.
All players used a Galaxy S25 Ultra smartphone, which, according to TeeP, a professional Call of Duty: Mobile player and content creator, offered a “console-level gaming experience on mobile.” The demo event also included an on-site hands-on area for all participants, and players used Galaxy Buds3 Pro and JBL Quantum One headphones.
This was the third year in a row that Samsung hosted an event to showcase the Ultra model’s gaming capabilities. On paper, the clock speeds are impressive, especially in the higher-clocked Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy version. Under sustained load, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, like most smartphones, lacks an active cooling solution.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Enterprise Edition launches in Europe
Incidentally, the Enterprise Editions of the Samsung Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Ultra also launched today. They offer the same benefits as before – a one-year subscription to the Samsung Knox Suite, three years of extended business support and the same seven years of software updates and security patches as the regular versions.
Samsung’s Knox Suite allows corporate IT departments to remotely manage phone fleets while providing enhanced protection against malware and other cybersecurity threats. The Enterprise versions of the S25 series also come with productivity tools from Microsoft and Google Cloud pre-installed. In terms of specs, both devices are identical to the regular Galaxy S25 and S25 Ultra.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra Enterprise Edition is available in Titanium Black and a single 12/256GB variant for £1,269. The S25 version is available in a single Silver Shadow 12/128GB version for £819.
