Apple announces App Store Award winners for 2023

The Apple App Store Awards were presented for apps and games for the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV and Apple Arcade.

As is customary this time of year, Apple today announced its 2023 App Store Award winners. There are nine categories, ranging from apps and games for iPhone and iPad to the best Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV and Apple Arcade apps. Apple also named generative AI the trend of the year.

AllTrails for Apple iPhone

AllTrails is the iPhone app of 2023, offering comprehensive hiking guides and outdoor exploration with detailed reviews and tips from community members.

Prêt-à-Makeup

Voted iPad app of the year, Prêt-à-Makeup offers a “true-to-life makeup sketchpad” for all users. No matter whether you are a professional make-up artist or an occasional user.

SmartGym

SmartGym is the Apple Watch app of the year with a bundled library of workout routines and fitness reports.

Photomator

Photomator is this year’s Mac app of the year. It is a professional photo editing suite with machine learning tools.

MUBI

MUBI is the Apple TV app of the year, offering a one-stop shop for indie films and international documentaries.

Honkai: Star Rail

Honkai: Star Rail is this year’s iPhone game of the year. Lost in Play took home the Apple App Store Award for iPad Game of the Year, while Lies of P is Mac Game of the Year. Hello Kitty Island Adventure was named Apple Arcade Game of the Year.
