Apple TV “Silo” Season 3: Release Date and Trailer

Apple announced today that its hit science fiction series “Silo” will return for a third season starting Friday, July 3. To coincide with this, the first trailer has finally been released.

“Silo” tells the story of 10,000 people living in an underground bunker to escape the seemingly contaminated wasteland outside. The residents don’t know why the bunker was built, and anyone seeking the truth risks their life. Rebecca Ferguson plays Juliette Nichols, an engineer who tries to uncover the secrets of the bunker after the murder of a loved one. The series is based on Hugh Howey’s bestselling book series and is one of the most popular original series on the streaming service Apple TV+.
The third season will consist of 10 episodes, with a new episode released every Friday until September 4th. Apple has also already renewed “Silo” for a fourth and final season.
“With the final two chapters of ‘Silo’, we can’t wait to offer fans of the series an incredibly satisfying conclusion to the many mysteries and unanswered questions hidden within the walls of these silos,” said showrunner and executive producer Graham Yost about the third and fourth seasons of the series.

Apple explains that the third season “continues the saga of a dystopian society”.
“In the present day, Juliette Nichols (Rebecca Ferguson) survives her forced ‘purge’ but returns with amnesia, while the silo recovers from the rebellion and faces a dangerous new threat,” Apple writes. “Meanwhile, in the pre-revolutionary era, journalist Helen Drew (Jessica Henwick) and Congressman Daniel Keene (Ashley Zukerman) uncover a conspiracy that plunges them into a chain of events with catastrophic and irreversible consequences.”
In the US, Apple TV costs $12.99 per month or $129 per year. New customers get a free one-week trial. Apple TV is also included in the Apple One and Peacock plans. All options are listed on the Apple website.
