Apple’s F1 film nominated for the 2026 Oscar for Best Picture
Apple’s popular racing film F1 has been nominated for an Oscar for Best Picture by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Apple announced in a press release. The nominations for the 98th Academy Awards have been announced, and Apple received a total of six nominations.
F1, starring Brad Pitt, is competing against Bugonia, Frankenstein, Hamnet, Marty Supreme, One Battle After Another, Sinners, Sentimental Value, The Secret Agent, and Train Dreams for the Academy Award for Best Picture. The film was also nominated for Best Sound, Best Film Editing, and Best Visual Effects.
Apple’s documentary “Come See Me in the Good Light” was nominated for the award for best documentary, and “The Lost Bus” was nominated for best visual effects.
F1 was the most successful sports film of all time.
According to Apple, F1 was the most successful sports film of all time and one of the company’s most successful films, grossing over $631 million worldwide during its theatrical run. Apple states that its films, documentaries, and series have been among the most successful since the launch of Apple TV in 2019 they received a total of 687 awards and 3,229 nominations.
The winners of the 98th annual Academy Awards will be announced on Sunday, March 15th.
