vivo X Fold6: Geekbench test before worldwide launch

vivo launched its latest foldable smartphone, the vivo X Fold6, in China back in June. Since then, we’ve been eagerly awaiting its global release, and although it hasn’t happened yet, it now seems imminent.

This is because someone in possession of a global vivo X Fold6 prototype ran a Geekbench test this morning. The global model has the model number V2559. As seen in the screenshot below, it achieved a single-core score of 1,710 and a multi-core score of 5,977 in Geekbench 7.0.0 for Android.

Since this is a prototype device, these figures shouldn’t be overinterpreted. However, the benchmark test confirms that the global vivo X Fold6 will be equipped with the same MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset as the Chinese vivo smartphone. And for that, the test results are clearly too low.

The prototype we tested had 12 GB of RAM, but vivo might offer other RAM options at launch. Interestingly, the Chinese X Fold6 shipped with Android 16, while the global model will receive Android 17 with vivo’s upcoming OriginOS 7 user interface from the start.
As a reminder, the Chinese X Fold6 features an 8.02-inch foldable LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 2312 x 2504 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a 6.51-inch LTPO AMOLED cover display with a resolution of 1120 x 2528 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
It also comes with 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of storage. The camera system includes a 200MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with OIS and 3x optical zoom, a 50MP ultrawide lens, a 20MP selfie camera integrated into the main display, and a 20MP selfie camera on the cover display. A 7,000mAh battery with support for 80W wired charging and 40W wireless charging keeps things running.
