The Oppo Find X9 Ultra was unveiled last week, and now a full teardown of the device is already available thanks to our colleagues at the YouTube channel WekiHome.

As always, they performed a detailed teardown of the device, in which the smartphone is not only quickly disassembled, but the function of each component is also described in detail.

The video embedded above is in Chinese, but the automatically translated YouTube subtitles work perfectly.

Conclusion and key insights

  • Advances in heat dissipation and structural stability improve the performance and durability of the Oppo Find X9 Ultra.
  • Innovative camera design The “board-breaking sunken” design allows for a compact construction despite large cameras.
  • Battery capacity and charging speed were significantly improved.
  • Display and fingerprint sensor upgrades ensure a better user experience.
  • IP certifications were expanded, which increases robustness against water and dust.
  • OPPO pursues a balanced strategy between portability and imaging performance, which is particularly noticeable with the 10x periscope lens.
  • The miniaturization of components and the combination of functionality and design are Key features to highlight.

Overall, the teardown video concludes that despite improved imaging performance, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra makes no compromises in other core areas and offers a very well-balanced high-end flagship hardware package.

The Oppo Find X9 Ultra is the company’s flagship for 2026 and directly competes with the recently unveiled vivo X300 Ultra as well as to the older Xiaomi 17 Ultra.

These three are in a league of their own when it comes to camera quality, but one could of course also argue that the Oppo Find X9 Ultra compares to much more common models like the iPhone 17 Pro Max and the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra.
