Xiaomi has launched a fairly robust phone with the Redmi Note 15 Pro+. However, the software shows some weaknesses.

A new video on the YouTube channel of JerryRigEverything is currently causing quite a stir in the tech community. Under the title “Xiaomi Just Tried to End My Career,” the well-known smartphone reviewer documents his experience with the brand-new Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G – and hardly has a good word to say about Xiaomi’s current mid-range flagship.

At the beginning of the video, the technical specifications are discussed: A high-resolution AMOLED display, 108MP camera, MediaTek Dimensity chipset and 120W fast charging make the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ seem like a top device on paper – especially considering its aggressive price-performance ratio.

The highlight of the video is, of course, the bend test, which the smartphone passes without any problems. To find out what makes it so robust, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is also disassembled in this video, revealing its internal components.

But the initial enthusiasm quickly gave way to disillusionment. The YouTuber documented several malfunctions and software problems that severely hampered not only the testing phase but also his usual production workflow.

“I couldn’t even properly benchmark the device because it kept crashing. […] And the camera app completely froze several times.”

Redmi Note 15 Pro+: Frustration instead of progress – criticism of Xiaomi’s quality control

The accusation runs deep: The device was “obviously not tested sufficiently.” The YouTuber sees particularly glaring weaknesses in the camera software and system stability, which would make everyday use “virtually impossible.”

He also criticizes the lack of optimization of the MIUI user interface, which in this version causes “more frustration than enjoyment.” Even simple tasks like multitasking or switching apps have led to “inexplicable delays or system errors.” He demands better quality control and transparent communication from Xiaomi – and advises potential buyers to exercise caution.

Even though the video’s title is deliberately exaggerated – “Xiaomi wanted to end my career” – it clearly strikes a chord. Many viewers in the comments report similar problems with current Xiaomi smartphones and criticize an increasing “banana policy”: devices that only ripen at the customer’s expense.

Conclusion: Powerful device with weak software

According to the review, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G has enormous potential – but the immature software and technical problems currently leave the device falling short of expectations.
