Poco F8 Ultra: Teardown video shows improved repairability and mini-subwoofer

The Poco F8 Ultra is the current flagship among the Poco mobile phones and offers solid all-round performance at a price below that of the top models. A particular highlight is the built-in subwoofer. The experts at PBKreviews They have now completely disassembled the device and revealed some interesting details.
The video shows the disassembly (teardown) of the Xiaomi Poco F8 Ultra into its individual parts with the aim of examining its construction, components and repairability.

The video begins with the opening of the Poco F8 Ultra. Typical tools are used to pry open the casing without damaging any components. The back cover and inner frame are removed to gain access to the components. The battery, motherboard, camera modules, cooling components, as well as the ports and sensors are all visible.

The build quality is unremarkable. The central aluminum frame is structurally reinforced internally, as is the area around the camera module. Speaking of which, the subwoofer is located beneath the camera bump. Unfortunately, the battery is not easily accessible; it’s hidden under dozens of components. Finally, the teardown video also shows the thermal pads and copper shielding layers around the chipset and battery.
Overall, the repairability score was 7/10, which is relatively good. Components can be replaced or exchanged fairly easily (e.g., display, battery), even if some parts may be permanently installed. However, special tools or technical expertise are sometimes required.
Previous Poco F-models were criticized for being difficult to repair, but the F8 Ultra seems to have improved in this regard. Nevertheless, it’s not the easiest phone to repair, especially due to the overlapping components and numerous adhesives.
