OnePlus 15R teardown video shows repair-friendly design

The brand new OnePlus 15R is the latest device that PBKreviews took apart in one of their videos. The sister model of the OnePlus 15 has an almost identical design to its flagship sibling, and some similarities are also evident in the teardown.
Disassembly follows the standard procedure: removing the SIM card tray, heating the glass back cover, and prying off the cover. The camera unit, held in place by four Phillips screws, then becomes visible.
OnePlus 15R battery and camera module

If you want to delve deeper into the interior of the OnePlus 15R, you’ll have to remove a whopping 17 Phillips screws. The battery cables are hidden beneath a graphite foil and copper tape. Fortunately, OnePlus has included pull tabs on the sides of the battery, which makes removal considerably easier.
Removing a few more ribbon cables exposes the 32MP selfie camera, and a single Phillips screw provides access to the motherboard of the OnePlus smartphone. Removing the screen is somewhat more complicated, as this requires removing most of the other components, including the bottom cover, backplate, sub-board and display cables.
Ultimately, the OnePlus 15R received a repairability rating of 8.5/10.
