Build quality

The build quality of the Poco X7 Pro is excellent and lives up to Xiaomi’s premium standards. The materials feel robust and durable. It also has an official IP68 certification, meaning the device is both water and dust resistant.

Display

The Poco X7 Pro features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1220 x 2712 pixels. It offers a 120Hz refresh rate and supports HDR10+, delivering crisp images and vibrant colors. A brightness of up to 3,200 nits ensures good visibility even in direct sunlight.

Performance

Powered by the high-performance MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra processor, the Poco X7 Pro delivers top-notch performance. Supported by up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage, the device handles even demanding applications and games with ease. Xiaomi’s brand-new user interface, HyperOS 2, runs smoothly and reliably.

Battery

The 6,000 mAh battery represents a new record for Poco and therefore ensures a long battery life. With moderate use, it easily lasts all day. Thanks to 90W fast charging technology, the device can be fully recharged in 42 minutes. However, wireless charging is not supported.

Camera

The Poco X7 Pro’s camera setup consists of a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The main camera delivers good results in daylight and solid performance in low light. The ultrawide camera, on the other hand, is primarily useful in daylight, while the macro camera offers no real added value. The 20MP front camera takes sharp selfies but unfortunately only supports 1080p video recording at 30 frames per second.

Conclusion

The Xiaomi Poco X7 Pro offers excellent value for money and is aimed at users looking for a powerful smartphone with an impressive display. Weaknesses such as the lack of wireless charging or a telephoto camera are compensated for by its strong overall performance and attractive features. It’s a solid choice in the upper mid-range.
