Xiaomi presented the 13T series at a big event in Berlin, Germany. In addition, two new Xiaomi smartwatches were also on stage. The brand’s latest wearable is the Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro, while the Smart Band 8 is now available worldwide.

Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro

The Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro is a full-fledged Google Wear OS smartwatch with a wide range of third-party apps available for download. The watch is available as a pure Bluetooth or as an LTE model. The latter makes it possible to receive calls and text messages directly on the watch and stay connected even without a paired smartphone.

The Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro features a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels and a peak brightness of up to 600 nits. The panel also works as an always-on display and comes with 20 pre-installed watch faces. It is powered by Qualcomm’s latest wearable platform, the Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1. There are also 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, dual-band GNSS positioning, WLAN, Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC. The Watch 2 Pro is also waterproof up to 50 meters and weighs 54.5 grams without the strap.

The Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro monitors heart rate and blood oxygen around the clock and offers sleep and stress tracking. It also measures over 150 different sports and has a bioelectrical impedance sensor. The sensor is intended to detect body composition based on body fat percentage and muscle mass.

There is a 495 mAh battery with a runtime of up to 65 hours on the Bluetooth model and 55 hours on the LTE variant. Charging takes place via the proprietary magnetic charger. The price is 269 euros for the Bluetooth model and 329 euros for the LTE version. However, the prices are likely to fall quickly in our Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro price comparison.

Xiaomi Smart Band 8

The Xiaomi Smart Band 8, also known as Mi Band 8, was launched in China back in April and features a 1.62-inch pill-shaped AMOLED display with a resolution of 490 x 192 pixels. The panel supports always-on display functionality and achieves a peak brightness of 600 nits.

You get the same health and fitness tracking as with the Smart Band 7 with new interactive fitness classes that use the Xiaomi Smart Band 8’s accelerometer to track movements in real time.

Xiaomi also relies heavily on style with the Smart Band 8 and offers several official bracelet options. These include materials such as leather, nylon fabric and metal in various styles. Xiaomi also offers a pendant accessory as well as a clip that can be attached to shoes. The fitness tracker is also intended to monitor the user’s posture.

Battery life is 16 days with typical use and 6 days with AOD mode enabled. The proprietary two-pin charger can provide a full charge in one hour. The watch is already listed as available in our Xiaomi Smart Band 8 price comparison.
