Xiaomi Redmi Watch 4 and Redmi Buds 5 Pro revealed

Xiaomi today launched the Redmi Watch 4 and Redmi Buds 5 Pro wireless earbuds alongside the Poco F6 / Redmi K70 series.

Xiaomi today also introduced two new smart wearables alongside the Poco F6 / Redmi K70 series – the Xiaomi Redmi Watch 4 and the Redmi Buds 5 Pro wireless earbuds are here. The Xiaomi smartwatch offers a new design compared to the Redmi Watch 3 with a large 1.96 inch AMOLED display and a variety of bracelets. Compared to the Redmi Buds 4 Pro, the Xiaomi Buds deliver Hi-Res audio, ANC and a battery life of up to 38 hours.

Xiaomi Redmi Watch 4

The Xiaomi Redmi Watch 4 features a 1.96-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 390 x 450 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. The panel is designed for a peak brightness of up to 600 nits and supports always-on display. It is the first Redmi watch with an aluminum housing and is also waterproof up to 50 meters.

In addition to Xiaomi’s new HyperOS operating system, GPS, NFC and Bluetooth 5.3 are also on board. The Xiaomi Redmi Watch 4 also covers the usual health features, offering heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep and stress tracking. You can also choose from over 150 sports, including voice-guided training and recovery programs.

The Redmi Watch 4 is powered by a 470 mAh battery. The cell lasts up to 10 days with AOD and full health monitoring enabled. But you can also get up to 20 days with less usage. The price in China is CNY 500 (€64/$70) and sales are already underway on Xiaomi’s official website.

Xiaomi Redmi Buds 5 Pro

The Xiaomi Redmi Buds 5 Pro feature a traditional in-ear design. In addition to dynamic 10 mm tweeters with a ceramic coating, they also offer 11 mm woofers with a titanium coating. The headphones support LHDC 5.0 Hi-Res audio streaming and active noise cancellation. The latter should mute up to 52 dB.

The Redmi Buds 5 Pro are paired via Bluetooth 5.3. But there is also a special e-sports version with a separate USB-C 2.4 GHz transmitter that reduces latency to just 20 ms. The combined battery life including charging case is 38 hours. The buds themselves manage 6.5 hours with ANC on and 10 hours without active noise cancellation.

The Xiaomi Redmi Buds 5 Pro are available in black, white, blue and black/orange. The price in China is also 500 CNY (64 €/70 $).
