Xiaomi’s Poco sub-brand has launched a pair of new headphones in India – the Xiaomi Poco Pods TWS earbuds are here. The affordable wireless buds feature 12mm speakers and an IPX4 rating for protection against splashing water.

The Xiaomi Poco Pods establish connections via Bluetooth 5.3 and support Google Fast Pair. The latency is a fast 60 ms. The earphones also have environmental noise cancellation (ENC) and support the high-resolution SBC audio codec.

The Xiaomi headphones also support touch controls directly on the headphones to answer calls and control music playback. Double-tap the Poco Pods to answer calls and play or pause music. You can reject or end a call and skip to the next track with a triple tap.
Xiaomi has not yet announced the battery capacities of the Poco Pods and the charging case. According to the company, the earbuds can play music for up to 30 hours on a single charge. This is probably the runtime in connection with the charging case. 10 minutes of charging is enough for up to 90 minutes of music playback.
If all this sounds familiar, Xiaomi already launched the Redmi Buds 4 Active with similar features in India last month for INR 1,399 ($17/€15). The Poco Pods, on the other hand, cost INR 1,199 ($15/€13) and retail in India through Flipkart. There is only one color option called Midnight Groove.
