Xiaomi Poco M6 Pro: chipset confirmed, video shows color options

The Xiaomi Poco M6 Pro will launch in India on August 5th with 5G connectivity. A first teaser already revealed the camera module of the M6 Pro. And thus confirmed the two main cameras on the back. One day before the unveiling, Poco also revealed the chipset – a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 takes over the drive, currently the fastest processor in the lower middle class. This makes it the second smartphone with this chip after the recently introduced Redmi 12 5G.

The Poco M6 Pro also appeared in a short hands-on video. The clip shows the smartphone in two colors, with both models featuring reflective backs. On the front there is a display with a central punchhole and some technical data. These include a refresh rate of 90 Hz, a 50 megapixel camera and a 5,000 mAh battery.

Xiaomi itself is still quite covered about the technical data of the Poco M6 Pro. According to rumors, it will be a variant of the Redmi 12 5G that was launched in India a few days ago. Therefore, in addition to the chipset and the main camera, the two Xiaomi phones should also share the 6.8-inch LCD display with an FHD+ resolution. The 90Hz refresh rate also matches today’s teaser. Just like the 50 megapixel main camera, which joins a 2 megapixel macro camera on the Redmi 12 5G.

The Poco M6 Pro should also have a 3.5mm headphone jack and an IR emitter on the top. The USB-C port is located on the underside next to the speaker.
