Xiaomi Poco M6 Plus 5G appears in the Google Play Console

The Xiaomi Poco M6 Plus 5G seems to be very similar not only to the Poco M6 Pro 5G, but also to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13R.
Xiaomi Poco M6 Plus 5G

The Xiaomi Poco M6 Pro 5G was launched in August last year. Later came the M6 in December and the M6 Pro 4G in January this year. And now it seems like we are almost at the point where a new member of the family is ready. We are, of course, talking about the Xiaomi Poco M6 Plus 5G, which the BIS already certified in India last month. Now it has been spotted on the Google Play Console with the model number 24065PC95I, which means it will launch in India (identified by the final “I” in the model code).

Moreover, the launch could happen this month, which is also revealed by the model code. “24” stands for the year and “06” for the month. However, note that this is not a given. Sometimes Xiaomi/Redmi/Poco smartphones go official sooner or later than these numbers suggest.

The Google Play Console listing reveals that the Poco M6 Plus 5G’s display will have a resolution of 1,080 x 2,460 pixels. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM. Interestingly, these specs are identical to those of the Poco M6 Pro 5G. So hopefully the two phones will differ in other ways.

Rumors suggest that the Xiaomi Poco M6 Plus 5G is a rebrand of the Redmi Note 13R. The 13R was launched in China last month. This is relatively normal in the Xiaomi camp, where the differences between the Redmi Note 13R and the Poco M6 Pro 5G are already tiny. It will be interesting to see if Xiaomi has a few more surprises in store. And when the official launch is.
