MediaTek will unveil its new mid-range chipset Dimensity 8300 next week. The upcoming Xiaomi Poco F6 / Redmi K70 will be one of the first smartphones on the market with the new processor. And this exact phone appeared in a test on the Geekbench benchmarking platform today.

The Xiaomi Poco F6 / Redmi K70 with model code 2311DRK48C scored 1,512 single-core points and a score of 4,886 in the multi-core department. That’s a little more than the previous models Dimensity 8200 and 8200 Ultra can manage. The chip features a 1+3+4 architecture with cores based on the ARMv8 architecture. There is a Cortex-A715 performance core with a clock speed of 3.35 GHz and three almost equally fast Cortex-A715 cores at 3.2 GHz. Auxiliary tasks are carried out by four Cortex-A510 efficiency cores with 2.2 GHz. A Mali-G615 MC6 GPU handles the graphics.

The Geekbench test also reveals that the Xiaomi Poco F6 / Redmi K70 will launch with 16GB of RAM and Android 14 as the operating system. As an interface, Xiaomi’s brand new HyperOS is a safe bet, probably with some minor Poco adjustments. The market launch should not be long in coming. But there is still no official statement from Xiaomi on this topic. A Poco F6 Pro / K70 Pro is also likely to come onto the market. With the currently fastest Android chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
