Confirmation came yesterday that the Xiaomi Pad 6 series will debut on April 18 along with the Xiaomi 13 Ultra and the Band 8. Now there are new details about both tablets and the Xiaomi smartwatch. The Xiaomi Pad 6 will come with a Snapdragon 870 chipset, which was also used on last year’s Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro and Pad 5 Pro 12.4. The Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor.

Based on the latest spec rumors, both Xiaomi Pad 6 models will be based on 11-inch IPS LCD displays with a resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels and a refresh rate of 120/144 Hz. The Pad 6 Pro can be configured with up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. Both Xiaomi tablets should also charge with a fast 67 watts.
Xiaomi Band 8: smartwatch and accessory
The Xiaomi Band 8 is also coming next week and will be more than just a wrist wearable. According to some new teasers from Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun, the wearable can also be worn as a pendant and fashion accessory. There will be at least five different stylish bracelets and straps to customize.

The Xiaomi Band 8 has an elongated shape and various attachment options for the bracelets. You can even attach the fitness tracker to your shoe. There are also several dials for customization. However, that is pretty much everything that is known about the Xiaomi smartwatch.
Xiaomi has also decided to ditch the typical single strap and now offers a two-piece strap for the budget Band 8 as well. The AMOLED display will probably stay at 1.62 inches. The fitness functions should continue to track over 100 different sports. The price should level off at around 250 CNY, which equates to $35/€30.
