The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip are expected to launch together and only in China in the third quarter.
Xiaomi Mix Flip

The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, the Chinese company’s fourth book-style foldable, is about to be launched together with the Mix Flip, the company’s first flip-foldable. The first technical data for the Mix Fold 4 came to light in March, while the Mix Flip has already been certified in China with support for satellite connectivity. Today, a second certification was added with the charging speed as well as details on the camera setup, dimensions and price.

According to Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 will be the thinnest foldable smartphone ever, replacing the Honor Magic V2. In addition to a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, both foldable Xiaomi smartphones also share the same 50 megapixel 1/1.55 inch main camera with optical image stabilization.

There are also 60 megapixel Omnivision OV60A-2x telephoto lenses with 1/2.8 inch size and 12 megapixel ultra-wide angle lenses. The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 also has a fourth camera – a 10-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. The Mix Fold 4 will also have an IP rating for the first time in the series and support wireless charging.

The Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip will launch in the third quarter of this year. So sometime between July and September, according to the same source. Depending on exactly when in the quarter they appear, the timing could be quite unfortunate. Because the Xiaomi 15 will introduce the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset in mid-October.

The second certification of the Xiaomi Mix Flip comes from the Chinese 3C authority. The phone has the model number 2405CPX3DC and, according to the listing, supports up to 67 watts of fast charging. The battery has a capacity of 4,900 mAh, which would be quite a record for a flip device.

The new model is rumored to cost CNY 5,999 (€770/$830). A photo has also appeared online (first picture above), but the rumor mill is still debating its authenticity. The rest of the leaked specifications are not really new. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset is confirmed, as well as a display with a resolution of more than 1080p.

The market launch should now be imminent. Unfortunately, both the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and the Mix Flip will probably remain limited to China. They might never officially come to international markets.
