According to a new rumor from China, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and Honor Magic V3 will both launch in July. The Mix Fold 4 is said to have a 5,000 mAh battery and a quad rear camera, including a 10-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom.

According to previous rumors, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4’s main camera will have a resolution of 50 megapixels on a 1/1.55-inch sensor with OIS. There will also be a 60-megapixel OmniVision 2x telephoto lens with a 1/2.8-inch sensor size and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera.

The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 is also said to be incredibly slim, perhaps the thinnest foldable of its kind yet. It is also said to be the first foldable Xiaomi smartphone to be waterproof. The Honor Magic V3 is said to have an even larger battery than its Xiaomi counterpart, but an exact number has not been given yet.

Xiaomi Mix Flip could be sold worldwide

Xiaomi has only officially offered its Mix Fold series in China for years. Things could be very different for its first flip-style smartphone, which will probably be called the Xiaomi Mix Flip. We already know it will be released later this year. And now there is reason to hope that it will actually be launched worldwide.

The global model number of the Xiaomi Mix Flip appeared in the GSMA’s IMEI database – 2405CPX3DG. The “G” at the end stands for “global” and accordingly only marks models sold outside of China. The Mix Flip for the Chinese market bears the model number 2405CPX3DC, with the “C” at the end standing for China.

The Mix Flip is said to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The processor is just as reminiscent of the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 as the camera setup. This includes the 50 megapixel main camera with 1/1.55 inch sensor size and OIS as well as the 60 megapixel 2x telephoto lens with 1/2.8 inch and the 12 megapixel ultra wide angle camera. According to an older leak from January, satellite connectivity is also on board.

The announcement should to take place between July and September. Given the global availability, the Xiaomi Mix Flip will compete directly with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6. The latter also starts in July.
