Xiaomi is expected to officially launch MIUI 14 later this month. A changelog has already been leaked today, which describes various new features that will soon come to Xiaomi phones.

Xiaomi MIUI 14 changelog
MIUI 14 features an improved system architecture with pre-installed apps that are said to take up less space and consume less power as well. There are more personalization options with an all new widget format, home screen folder and “super icons”. Data protection has also been revised. With MIUI 14, user data is no longer stored in the cloud, all data remains stored locally on the device.
The Mi AI voice assistant gets more features like document scanning, translations and a call assistant with a spam call filter. Xiaomi has also revised the pairing and connection stability with other Xiaomi devices such as headphones, tablets and TVs. There is an improved search function in settings with search history and results sorted by category. MIUI 14 also adds support for more wireless card readers and an increase in connection speed by using the cellular connection when the WiFi signal is weak.
