The Xiaomi Redmi 13R 5G was launched almost silently in China today, but interest in the phone can already be officially noted. It features a 50-megapixel AI camera, a 6.74-inch LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and is actually a Redmi 13C 5G in disguise for the domestic Chinese market.
The Xiaomi Redmi 13R 5G has a Dimensity 6100+ chipset from MediaTek and exactly one memory configuration – 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The dual 5G smartphone offers space for two SIM cards and a microSD card in a long slot. It also has a large 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging support. However, Xiaomi only includes a 10 watt adapter in the packaging.
The only difference between the Redmi 13C 5G and the Redmi 13R 5G is the design around the camera module. The Chinese version has a large black rectangle stretching from side to side. The color options remain the familiar black, green and purple. But while these are marketed internationally as “Star Trail” colors, at home Xiaomi only talks about “three dreamy colors.”
The price of the Xiaomi Redmi 13R 5G is CNY 999, which converts to €130/$140. Registrations are already possible via the company website. You will then receive a notification when pre-orders for the Xiaomi smartphone open.
