A new leak about the upcoming Xiaomi 14 today revealed details about the design and the main camera sensor. Accordingly, the design should not change too much, but there will be several technical upgrades. The same tipster – Digital Chat Station – had already revealed that the still unreleased top chipset Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will take over the drive.

The Xiaomi 14 generation will also apparently have up to 1 TB of storage, while the 13 series maxed out at 512 GB. Based on the last leak, the new model will have a 4,860mAh battery with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging. In comparison, the predecessor had 4,500 mAh and 67/50 watts of charging power.
The top left sketch already brought up a familiar design last week with the square camera module in the top left corner. This time, however, four sensors are apparently installed and not three. According to DCS, the main camera will also get an even larger sensor. The resolution remains at 50 megapixels, but the base area grows from 1/1.49 inch to 1/1.28 inch. There is also a camera with a “medium telephoto lens”. It will probably stay with the 3.2x telephoto of the Xiaomi 13 or the optical zoom will be slightly increased. The third sensor is for the ultra wide camera. However, there is still no indication what camera the fourth sensor will power.
Xiaomi traditionally launches its flagship series right at the end of the year. In some cases, the new Xiaomi cell phones are even coming onto the market at the same time as the first availability of the next top Snapdragon chip. So we are still months away from the Xiaomi 14 series, which will also have a Pro model at launch. The Ultra and Lite versions are usually coming later.
