The Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro have appeared once again in Geekbench tests. It came to light that both the basic and the Pro versions have 16 GB of RAM in at least one variant. In the tests, the smartphones ran Android 14, which will form the basis for the new HyperOS.

The Xiaomi 14 was tested with Geekbench 5, while the 14 Pro already ran with Geekbench 6. The benchmark versions are quite different, so the results can only be compared to a limited extent. However, you can compare them with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 phones to evaluate the performance gains.

The Xiaomi 14 managed around 5% more performance in the single-core test, while the multi-core score increased by around 20% compared to a Xiaomi 13. With the 14 Pro, the measured values increased similarly compared to a Xiaomi 13 Pro.
The Geekbench tests also once again reveal the data of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. This includes a 3.30 GHz fast Cortex-X4 main core, three 3.15 GHz Cortex-A720 performance cores, two 2.96 GHz Cortex-A720 cores and two 2.7 GHz Cortex-A520 efficiency cores. The Cortex-A720 cores may work together in a large 5-core cluster. We’ll find out all the details tomorrow at the latest when the annual Snapdragon Summit begins in Hawaii.
Xiaomi 14 series is coming on October 26th
On the third day of this event, the new Xiaomi flagships will also be shown, as the Chinese officially confirmed today. The event itself takes place in China. However, the Xiaomi 14 series is expected to make a brief guest appearance at the Snapdragon Summit on October 26th. Other highlights are of course HyperOS and the new main camera with variable aperture, which was developed together with Leica.

Two models are likely to be seen at the event – the Xiaomi 14 and the 14 Pro. An Ultra variant, like the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, could be added later. According to a tip, both devices will be available in black, white or green. The basic version also gets a pink paint job.
The Xiaomi 14 charges with a maximum of 90 watts, while the 14 Pro reaches 120 watts. As far as design is concerned, the smartphones retain the square camera island. There are likely to be more teasers before launch. The global unveiling is expected to take place in the first weeks of 2024.
