Xiaomi has finally confirmed the launch date for its upcoming Xiaomi 13 series smartphones. The launch event is scheduled for this Thursday, December 1 at 7:00 p.m. Beijing time. In addition to the Xiaomi 13 and the 13 Pro, Xiaomi’s new Android skin MIUI 14 will also be unveiled at the event.

Xiaomi boss Lei Jun has also shared the first official images of the Xiaomi 13. You can see a flat OLED display with 1.61mm thick bezels on the top and sides. At the bottom, the frame is 1.81mm thick. Xiaomi specifies the overall width as 71.5 mm, which is reasonably compact for a flagship cell phone.
Xiaomi also confirms that all 13-series smartphones are IP68 waterproof and dustproof. The launch event on Thursday will also see the new Watch S2 smartwatch and Xiaomi Buds 4 TWS earbuds take the stage. In addition, the first Xiaomi desktop computer, a new Wi-Fi router and a projector will be unveiled.
