A little over seven months after the initial announcement, vivo today expanded its current flagship series with the vivo X90s. As the name suggests, the new device is a rather minor update with a new chipset in the form of the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+. Besides, the new model is also available in two new color options – white and green.

Aside from the new colors, the vivo X90s is visually identical to the regular X90. It also features the same 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,800 × 1,260 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. Also, all X90s models come standard with UFS 4.0 storage and LPDDR5X RAM.
The camera setup is also identical. This includes a 50 megapixel main camera on the back with a 1/1.49 inch sensor and 1.0 µm pixels. In addition, vivo uses a 12 megapixel ultra wide lens and a 50 mm telephoto module with a resolution of 12 megapixels. The software side is covered by vivo’s OriginOS 3 based on Android 13. The battery of the vivo X90s has a capacity of 4,810 mAh and charges with a fast 120 watts.
The 8/256GB version is priced at 3,999 CNY (€506/$553) in China. For 12/256 GB you pay 4,299 CNY (€544/$594) and for 12/512 GB you will be set back 4,699 CNY (595 €/$650). The vivo X90s can already be ordered directly from vivo and from partner retailers in China. Open sale begins June 30th.
