vivo X90 and X90 Pro with Dimensity 9200 and 120W charging introduced

vivo today officially introduced the X90 series with the new flagship X90 Pro+ and its 1 inch camera sensor. But the vivo X90 and X90 Pro have also been completely redesigned right down to the brand new MediaTek Dimensity 9200 chipset, offering impressive cameras and very fast loading speeds. The curved 6.78-inch AMOLED displays with QHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz are also impressive. The panels output 10-bit color and achieve a peak brightness of 1,300 nits.

Leading the X90’s camera department is a 50-megapixel Sony IMX866 with an f/1.75 lens and optical image stabilization (OIS). There are also two 12-megapixel Sony IMX663 sensors, one for the ultra wide and one for the telephoto with a 2x optical zoom. The X90 series also gets the in-house vivo V2 ISP chip for image processing and better low-light images.

The X90 has a 4,810 mAh dual-cell battery, while the X90 Pro has a 4,870 mAh capacity. Both vivo cell phones offer fast wired charging at 120 watts. The vivo X90 is available in black, blue and red colors. Prices start at CNY 3,699 ($518) for the 8/128 GB version and go up to CNY 4,999 ($700) for the 12/512 GB variant.

vivo X90 Pro

Just like the Pro+ model, the vivo X90 Pro doesn’t compromise on the main camera with a 1-inch 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 main sensor and a large f/1.75 aperture. There is also a 48 megapixel ultra wide with a Sony IMX598 sensor and two telephoto cameras. The 50mm portrait lens resolves 50 megapixels on a Sony IMX758 sensor. The 64 megapixel periscope has a 90mm equivalent focal length with 3.5x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom.

The Pro version also charges wirelessly with 50 watts, but you need the appropriate vivo 50W wireless flash charger. OriginOS 3 based on Android 13 is used as the interface, at least on the Chinese models.

The vivo X90 Pro is available in black and red colors. The entry-level 8/256GB starts at 4,999 CNY ($700) while the top-of-the-range 12/512GB goes for 5,999 CNY ($840).

Both the vivo X90 and X90 Pro are already available for pre-order in China, while open sales begin on December 6th. Vivo will announce international availability and pricing at a later date.
